Preorder books available for author visit

On May 1, K-5 students will meet award-winning children's and youth author Grace Lin. Families interested in a signed copy of one of her books can order online or by returning the order form to the school by April 26.

Award-winning author and illustrator Grace Lin will visit Byron-Bergen Elementary School on Wednesday, May 1st to share her books: Chinese Menu, A Big Mooncake for Little Star, Where the Mountain Meets the Moon, and many others. Books are available for pre-order using the form below or by visiting www.AuthorsNote.com.


Grace Lin, a NY Times bestselling author/ illustrator, won the Newbery Honor for Where the Mountain Meets the Moon and the Theodor Geisel Honor for Ling and Ting. Her novel, When the Sea Turned to Silver, was a National Book Award Finalist and her picture book, A Big Mooncake for Little Star, was awarded the Caldecott Honor. In 2016, Grace’s art was displayed at the White House where Grace, herself, was recognized by President Obama’s office as a Champion of Change for Asian American and Pacific Islander Art and Storytelling. In 2022, Grace was awarded the Children’s Literature Legacy Award from the American Library Association.
