The Byron-Bergen Boys Basketball team was recently recognized as the recipient of the Thomas Emmanuel Sportsmanship Award for the Genesee Region League. This award is given by Board 60, the varsity officials that cover Section V. Each school is rated based on the sportsmanship, character and ethics of its players, coaches and fans. 

"I am very proud of our program for receiving this recognition,” said Boys Varsity Basketball Coach Roxanne Noeth. “We certainly had our ups and downs this past season, but we always stayed true to our values.  It would have been easy to let our frustrations manifest into poor on court behavior, but this group always handled themselves with class. These student athletes exemplify what it means to exhibit great sportsmanship."
