Farewell to Mrs. Faro!
Teacher Jen Faro

Jennifer Faro has taught at Byron-Bergen for over 30 years - first as a student teacher, then as a middle school science teacher for her entire career. She has taught seventh and eighth graders, as well as the occasional high school class, and has also coached girls' soccer for 19 years.

"The best thing about my years at Byron-Bergen have been my colleagues and seeing them daily will be what I miss the most. You get new kids each year, and that is ultimately why we are here, but your colleagues are there with you year after year through the good and bad," said Faro.

"I have had a lot of varied memories from being at BB," Faro recalled. "Science lessons, demos, and activities that did and did not work, kids that drove me crazy and kids that made teaching and coaching great, time spent at the soccer field, and being able to work and coach in the same district as my husband, Scott."

In retirement, Jennifer and her husband, Scott, plan to keep busy visiting different places around the area with their therapy dog, Pinot. They also plan to do some travelling.

Jennifer wants to thank BBFA - "a fabulous group to be a part of!" - and Pat McGee for continuing to foster positivity at Byron-Bergen.
