Byron-Bergen Central School District is aware of the recent letter from the New York State Department of Health to the Center for Disease Control proposing potential new guidance regarding face covering mandates on school grounds. It is our understanding that the NYSDOH has shared a plan with the CDC to seek their feedback before making official changes. At this point, we have no official guidance, but we are expecting to hear more in the next few days. We will continue to monitor and evaluate as soon as we receive the official information from the NYSDOH in order to determine the appropriate and safe path forward for the students and staff at Byron-Bergen.
