Monday Message from Superintendent Edwards - April 6, 2020

Dear Byron-Bergen Families,

As our time apart continues, I know it has been hard on many of you. I, too, am feeling the separation from family and friends. But, I can’t help but be a little excited by the innovation and creativity this separation has brought to our educational community.

With inspiring flexibility, our teaching staff have reinvented themselves as educators to deliver information and support to our students at home. They are implementing technology in new ways to ensure our students build upon what they have already learned and finish this school year strong.

All students have received a pacing guide, copies of which can be found on the Byron-Bergen website. These guides will act as a road map for the next two weeks. Our teaching staff is available to answer questions about specific lessons and I know that they are eager to help in any way they can.

Learning outside the classroom is new to all of us. I ask that we all embrace the spirit of innovation and I know that we will be able to work through this separation, together.

As always, take care of yourselves and each other.

Mickey Edwards
Superintendent, Byron-Bergen Central School District
