Dear Byron-Bergen Families,

I just wanted to follow up on my communication to our students and families in regard to masking as this is a fluid situation in the courts right now.

We have been informed that the stay regarding the masking decision was granted temporarily through at least Friday the 28th.  This means that the Nassau County order invalidating 10 NYCRR 2.60 is "stayed", meaning that the mask regulation continues to be in effect.  A date for a decision by this court has not been determined. Therefore, the "stay" is in effect up until the time this court makes a decision.  In other words, during the time of the hearings and deliberations, the mask mandate remains in effect.  
 
 As we did today we will continue to monitor this situation and keep you as up to date as possible.  Thank you for your continued support, patience, and understanding as we all work our way through the challenges and changes, twists and turns, and ups and downs of the last few years.
