Dear Byron-Bergen Families and Community,

 

With two weeks of school in the books, I would like to take a moment to remind everyone of the importance of following the COVID-19 safety guidelines as set by the New York State Department of Health. The full guidelines can be found on the District website at https://www.bbschools.org/COVID-19Information.aspx. I especially would like to remind caregivers of the importance of not sending students to school if they are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms. This step can help protect our school community.

 

The District works closely with the Genesee Orleans Department of Health if there are COVID-19 cases within our District and carries out thorough contact tracing. Those who are considered close contacts will be called directly. Confirmed positive cases are reported to the New York State Department of Health and can be found on their website at https://schoolcovidreportcard.health.ny.gov/.

 

Thank you to everyone in this community who is working to keep each other safe. I know that we can make it through the school year if we all pull together and take the safe steps outlined to minimize risk.
