2018 Recognition Night

The final weeks of the 2017-18 school year began with the recognition of scores of high-performing scholars and athletes at Byron-Bergen Jr./Sr. High School. The school’s annual Recognition Night was held on May 30 and combined academic and athletic awards. It featured Byron-Bergen Scholar Athletes and Teams, 2017-18 Tri-Athletes, and Athletes of the Year. The school was proud to honor 149 students representing 11 different teams from all three seasons of play.

More than 40 prestigious awards, scholarships, and certificates recognizing student success in academics, leadership, character, creativity, and community action were presented, along with. Academic Varsity Letters and Pins.

The school’s highest-performing scholars, the Top Ten seniors, were also acknowledged: Lauren Burke (Valedictorian), Margaret Graney (Salutatorian), Benjamin Chaback, Larissa Ashton, Lily Mercovich, Dana Van Valkenburg, Tyler Henry, Jean Denson, Brian Ireland and Leah Thompson.
