A tradition of storytelling

With the help of retired Byron-Bergen teacher and professional storyteller Rick Merritt and our own awesome librarians, oral storytelling is a tradition at the Elementary School. Students learn how to create pictures in the minds of their listeners by developing public speaking skills that will help them throughout their lives. Our annual Evening of Storytelling in March included fairytales and folktales presented by several guest storytellers and students.
