Please join us in congratulating IT Support Specialist Tom Moore on his retirement. Moore has been with Byron-Bergen Central Schools for 13 years.

“I have enjoyed a fulfilling career here at Byron-Bergen,” said Moore. “I also enjoyed the benefit of working in the same district where my children attended school. I am proud to have been able to both live and work in the BB community – Go Bees!”

Prior to Byron-Bergen, Moore worked in IT at a fortune 500 company for 23 years and was IT Manager at Oakfield-Alabama for three years. He filled the newly created position at Byron-Bergen and has since dedicated his career to resolving technology issues and adapting to new technology in education.

“Our IT staff eventually grew to include talented BOCES shared staff and key BB staff for which I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with,” said Moore. “These individuals will continue to be instrumental in keeping technology running smoothly.”

Moore also enjoyed working in conjunction with the Maintenance Department, administrators, and faculty. As a team, the focus remained to provide the best educational environment for the students.

In retirement, Moore in looking forward to what the future may bring including spending quality time with his wife, kids, and family.
