Monday Message – May 18, 2020
Dear Byron-Bergen students and families,
The warm weather has finally arrived! And with it, the
knowledge that we are entering the final stretch of our academic year. I know
the sunny days are calling and I encourage everyone to enjoy the spring weather
while still keeping up with your school work the best you can and finishing the
year strong.
Speaking of enjoying the weather, I want to remind everyone
that the school campus is closed. I completely understand that the playground
or baseball fields may be calling to you but, for now, it is important to stay
safe and continue social distancing. I am certainly looking forward to a day
when the school grounds are alive with student activity again and I promise
that day will come.
In budget news, we are working hard to prepare everything
for the School District budget vote. Information will be available on the
District website and the print version of the Budget Focal Point will arrive at
houses next week. All voting will be completed by absentee ballot this year.
The deadline to absentee voting is June 9th. If you have any
questions, please contact Lori Prinz at (585) 494-1220.
Stay safe and take care of eachother.
Best wishes,
Mickey Edwards
Byron-Bergen Central School District Superintendent
