I am seeking re-election to the Board of Education to continue to serve the Byron-Bergen community. It has been an absolute pleasure to be a part of the Byron Bergen Board of Education for the last seven years.  I have learned so much throughout my time on the Board and am hoping to continue to grow if re-elected. One of the greatest aspects of being on the Board is feeling like part of a team. Not just with the other Board members but with the entire Byron Bergen learning community. We are a team here in Byron Bergen!

I hope to continue to be part of the District moving forward and offering everything we can for our students while being fiscally responsible. In light of the recent COVID-19, many aspects of education will be changing and I want to help be a part of helping the district through these changes.  With the continuation of unfunded mandates there are tough decisions to be made.  I am willing to ask probing questions to make sure all aspects are considered.  My overall goal is to make sure the District is doing everything they can to continue to be the best choice of schools in the area!

My husband Cory and I have lived in Bergen for 14 years and have two children in the District; Kendall (freshman) and Evan (fourth grade).  I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to coach boy’s youth basketball and soccer through Gillam Grant, having previously also coached youth baseball and softball. I am also currently vice president of STEP Boosters and am so proud of all the events that bring our community together. Finally, my family and I enjoy volunteering at the Gillam Grant Social Supper as I feel community service is incredibly important!
