On June 19, 2019, the B-B Elementary students enjoyed a day of sun, fun, and friendly competition. The day began with the traditional parade around the front bus loop where a high school student handed off the Olympic torch to an elementary student. The procession then continued the loop and gathered on the hill behind the gym for the opening ceremony.
Each grade level or class was introduced along with the country which they chose to represent. The UPK through second graders then had a wonderful morning of fun-in-the-sun games at the Elementary School while the older students gathered at the High School track for a day of track and field events. The 2019 Olympics closed in Byron-Bergen tradition with the one-mile run/walk.
