Welcome Deputy Schildwaster, new SRO

As a Byron-Bergen alumnus Deputy Schildwaster is looking forward to his return
to the school district. Deputy Schildwaster is eager to continue and build the
relationship that has been established within the the community through the
SRO Program. Deputy Schildwaster resides in Genesee County with his wife and
3 children. He enjoys hunting, fishing, boating and camping in his personal life.
Deputy Schildwaster looks forward to meeting and interacting with the
Byron-Bergen family during the upcoming school year.

Deputy Schildwaster has been with the Genesee County Sheriff ’ s Office since
2015.  He is a DRE (Drug Recognition Expert), a member of the Crash
Management Team and a CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events)
instructor.  Deputy Schildwaster is a United States Navy Veteran.  While enlisted, he held the positions of Mechanic, Military Police, and Recruiter; wherein he was stationed in Virginia Beach, Virginia and Sicily, Italy. Deputy Schildwaster attended Genesee Community College for studies in Criminal Justice.
