Faline Tyler’s career with BBCSD began 24 years ago when she was hired to work in the Elementary School cafeteria. In the more than two decades since, she has worked as a one on one aide, a fifth grade aide, a nurse’s aide, and an office aide. Additionally, she has costumed many musicals, altered prom dresses, baked cakes for sport teams, and created many athlete rewards such as hats, scarves, pillows, and senior centerpieces.

 
In retirement, she plans to spend time with her two granddaughters and continue her family’s tradition of showing draft horses. She is also launching a grant-funded sewing program through her church with a goal to create charity pieces and teach the craft to younger participants.

“Over the years, I have had so many wonderful students touch my life. I have always said, ‘Good kids do great things,’ and B-B kids are the very best. They will forever be in my heart.
